Get a Cisco Certification Today

The Cisco certification is one of the most sought after Certifications in Information Technology today. Getting such a certification will prove your proficiency in configuring and deploying some of the most powerful networking hardware available today. Most of the Internet’s daily traffic actually passes through Cisco routers and as internet traffic grows, as more and more people get onto the online surfing bandwagon, the more the demand for Cisco routers and networking professionals there will be.
If you’re a practicing IT professional, now is as good a time as any to get that certification and reap the benefits of being more technically skilled in the technology that keeps the Internet and all the services it provides to millions of people humming along each and every second of the day.
The best place to start if you want to take your knowledge of networking technologies to a whole different level is the Cisco Learning Network website. It is a social learning network for IT professionals providing opportunities to help them enhance and advance their IT careers. It’s a place where you can browse technical content and connect and share insights, opinions, and knowledge with other IT pros in this online community.
As I was going through the website I realized how outdated my knowledge of Cisco certification has become having been a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) myself a few years back. There are now actually different kinds of CCNA certifications available depending on what you want to specialize in. You can now earn a CCNA for Security, Routing and Switching, Voice, or Wireless. Why stop at the Associate level when there are Professional and Expert level certifications available as well. There is even an entry level certification called the Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT).
I used to be a practicing IT consultant helping companies decide what solution best suited their technology requirements. After I had earned my CCNA, I had more confidence in introducing and implementing networking solutions to my clients.
Getting a Cisco certification will do nothing less than broaden your horizons in the IT field. It will not only help you prove to yourself that you know what you’re doing but most especially be a confirmation for those who will seek your expertise without hesitation because they know you are Cisco certified.

The cost of certification varies from place to place. If you decide to opt for classes instead of an online program, you pay a bit more but your chances of getting a great score are much more.
