Firefox 3.0.2 out now

September 24th, 2008 | by rey |

If you have Firefox 3.0.1 running on your system as of today, Sept 23, in Firefox click on the Help menu then click on “Check for Updates…”. The browser should detect an available update, namely version 3.0.2.

This latest version of the browser has fixed some security, stability, webpage layout issues and more. For more information on what’s been fixed and known issues that have cropped up please check here.

So far Firefox is my favorite browser followed by Google Chrome then Internet Explorer 8. It’s the addons that make a browser these days awesome. I hope they don’t rest on their laurels coz Google Chrome is planning to get an addon community for Chrome up and running. If the add-ons I currently see as essential and use on Firefox get ported to Chrome, I don’t see why I wouldn’t switch. But as of now Firefox 3 rocks in the add-on department.

Update: On September 26 Firefox 3.0.3 comes out with a bug fix addressing a problem where users were unable to retrieve saved passwords or save new passwords. It’s all good.
