Upgrade to Wordpress 2.7.1 Successful
February 15th, 2009 | by rey |Wordpress 2.7.1, a maintenance upgrade for version 2.7 which fixes a host of bugs was released last Feb 10, 2009. The moment I noticed the upgrade was available, I tried to use the Automatic Upgrade feature introduced in version 2.7 under the Tools menu on the Wordpress Dashboard.
The upgrade didn’t work though, stopping at the part where the update files where being downloaded from the Wordpress server. I tried to repeat the upgrade a few more times unsuccessfully. I finally deactivated the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin which is known to be incompatible with Wordpress 2.7 and viola the upgrade was a success.
